Check-In: 8-9am
Programs from 9:00am- 2:00pm
Kickball, Egg Games, Crafts, BB Guns, Archery, Water Balloon Games

Bring a sack lunch-

9-Noon Egg Games/kickball/crafts/shooting sports/
Noon-1pm- Lunch – WSR Summer Camp presentation
1-2 Water Balloon games
The Swimming Pool is not open for the season yet.

Cost is $15 per Scout, Parents and Leaders are free. Please bring health forms.
Every youth that attends this camp with receive a $5 gift certificate to use at the WSR Cub Scout Camp Trading post.

Science Day - Sat 5/31

8 - 8:45 Registration
9 am - 2pm Activities

Spend the day at the Fossil and Prairie Park Preserve hunting for Devonian fossils, hiking through native Iowa prairies, touring the Fossil & Prairie Center and much more. After completion, Cub Scouts will have earned: Cub Scout Academics, Geology Belt Loop & Pin, Naturalist Belt Loop & Pin, Wildlife Conservation Belt Loop. Webelo Activity Badges earned: Geologist, Naturalist with portions of Scientist Readyman completed.
The cost is FREE.

2009 Double H High Adventure

Scouters everywhere,

We have 12 openings left for the 2009 Double H High Adventure council contengent!!!!!!!

If you are looking for more excitement and a true challenge this is for you. Webelos 2 dens, Boy Scout troops and Venture Crews can sign up today or find out more information by calling the Winnebago Council Service Center and talking to Ann Pfundstein ext. 213.

Started in the summer of 2004, the Double H High Adventure Base is Philmont Scout Ranch's newest program. Located on the Torstenson Wildlife Center in Datil , New Mexico , the Double H is over 100,000 acres of rugged wilderness.

Seven-day backpacking programs give crews the freedom to hike without trails. A Wilderness Guide (Double H staff member) accompanies the crew for the entire trek. Programs provided at the Martin (backcountry) Camp and the Wilderness Guide include geocaching, GPS navigation skills, challenge/team building events, black powder shooting, archery, astronomy, conservation projects, search & rescue, and more.

FUN DAY - Postponed TBA

The April 5th Fun Day for the Candle Sales is going to be postponed to a later date, TBD. More information will come out prior to the event. We thank all of the units for participating in the Candle/Product Sale.

This event is open to all scouts and the public. Youth that come that did not sell Candle/Product Sales pay $5. Adults are free.

Time – 11-2pm

LOCATOINS
If the weather is sunny and warm the event will be held at Nashua/Plainfield Middle School Field along HWY 218, in Plainfield , IA.

If the weather calling for cold, rainy, cloudy, snow, hurricanes, tornados, ect the event will be held at Wartburg College, in Waverly at the "W" Rec Center right on campus.

We need to know how many people are planning on coming to this FUN DAY EVENT!! Can you please send me an email before 4pm on Monday? We have to have at least 50 scouts pre-registered to have the inflatable games, by emailing me you are pre-registering. The event will not be canceled, but will be postponed to a new date if the 50 Scout quota is not met. Thank you.
